The Packing Adventures!

I think the most commonly uttered phrase in the house over the past few days has been, "Take out another shirt." Apparently, airlines have rules about how heavy suitcases can be, and Mom planned on enforcing them even before we put all the shirts in. Then she caught me rearranging colors and said that that wouldn't fool her and to take ANOTHER one out. Does the woman want me walking around Austria without clothing on??? So we finally got it down to a mutually agreeable level and put everything in those nifty vacuum bags and still had space and poundage to spare.

In other news, I got to say goodbye to Pooks today. She got all teary-eyed and stuff. It was cute. But I'll see her and Paul and maybe Houdini in May when we're going to criss-cross Europe (yay!). Until then, I promised to send her letters (does anybody know anything about international stamps, etc?) and call when I got into Vienna.

Now I guess it's just waiting and throwing a few more things into bags. This whole thing won't feel real until I get on the plane. But I'm pretty sure it's going to be amazing. :-) I'm also pretty sure I won't be posting anything new until during or after orientation weekend. So auf wiedersehen, people!
